Everything you need to know about AC/DC PWR UP TOUR

Everything you need to know about AC/DC PWR UP TOUR

On December 31, 1973, a little-known rock band called AC/DC hit the stage for the very first time in a Sydney bar. 50 years later, after a dazzling career, the group AC/DC celebrates its anniversary with a European tour which delights its fans.

As someone who grew up blasting High Voltage and Back in Black through half-broken speakers, I’ve always wondered if I’d ever get the chance to feel that legendary AC/DC live energy in person. Turns out, dreams do manifest—because the band has just announced their PWR UP Europe tour, and it's shaping up to be an absolute monster of a show.

From the epic venues to the fan-favourite setlist, here’s everything you need to know before you join the High Voltage party. Let’s dive in—because this is not a tour you want to miss.

Tour Dates and Locations

As you can probably guess, the AC/DC concert tickets are selling out at the speed of light. So you better get your tickets before it's too late. The UK show is basically sold out, and honestly, are we even surprised? We’re talking about one of the most legendary rock bands of all time, returning to the stage after years.

Who’s in the Lineup?

Now, the lineup. This is what really seals the deal. We’ve got:

  • Brian Johnson back on vocals (yes, after all the hearing issues—he’s back and sounding 🔥)

  • Angus Young, the eternal schoolboy, still tearing it up on lead guitar

  • Stevie Young stepping in for the late great Malcolm (and doing the family proud)

  • Cliff Williams holding down bass duties once again

  • And Matt Laug on drums—filling in for Phil Rudd on this tour

The band has said this is a tribute to Malcolm as much as it is a celebration of their new era. In interviews, Angus mentioned how a lot of PWR UP was inspired by riffs Malcolm had stashed away before he passed. Honestly, that gave me chills.

Why the PWR UP Tour Is a Big Deal

If you’ve listened to PWR UP (and I mean really listened—loud, in your car, windows down), you’ll know that this album doesn’t just recapture their classic energy—it cranks it to 11. Tracks like "Shot in the Dark", "Demon Fire", and "Kick You When You're Down" feel like they were made to be played live.

And live is where AC/DC truly thrives. I still remember the first time I saw them—Angus duck-walking across the stage, Brian screaming into the mic like a man possessed. There’s just nothing like an AC/DC show. It’s not a concert—it’s a full-body, beer-soaked, guitar-soloed experience.

Plus, considering how long it’s been since their last tour, and how much the world’s changed since then, this feels like a once-in-a-generation gig. If this turns out to be their last full-scale tour (fingers crossed it’s not), you’ll want to say you were there.

What to Expect

From the setlists we’ve seen on the European leg, you can expect a glorious mix of classics and new bangers. We’re talking:

  • Highway to Hell

  • Thunderstruck

  • Back in Black

  • Hells Bells

  • You Shook Me All Night Long

  • Plus PWR UP tracks like Shot in the Dark and Through the Mists of Time

Rumour has it Angus has a few surprises up his sleeve too—extended solos, a revamped light show, maybe even a cheeky cannon or two. And if they close with For Those About to Rock (We Salute You), you’d better believe the place will shake to its foundations.

Gearing Up – What to Wear to the Show

Now, if you're anything like me, you plan your gig outfit. No shame in that. You want to look the part, show your love, and maybe turn a few heads while you’re at it. Which brings me to a little tip:

Before the show, check out Paradiso Clothing—your go-to for officially licensed AC/DC merch. We’ve got everything from vintage-style tees and hoodies to killer designs featuring album art, logos, and more.

I highly recommend checking out our  For Those About to Rock shirts and a Back in Black hoodie for Wembley. It’s high-quality stuff, fits like a dream, and you know it’s legit. Trust me, don’t be that person wearing a knock-off tee from a dodgy stall outside the stadium.

Final Thoughts

So there you have it—the full lowdown on AC/DC’s PWR UP Tour. From dates and tickets to the band lineup and where to get your gear, you’re now officially prepped for the most electrifying rock event of the year.

Whether it’s your first AC/DC concert or your fifteenth, this tour promises to be something special. Grab your tickets, sort your travel, crank up the tunes, and don’t forget your merch—because this is one gig you’ll be talking about for years to come.
